This study aims to examine the process of acquiring a second language through the Mathematics subject among students of the Laboratory Primary School of Universitas Negeri Malang, a university-based laboratory primary school whose curriculum reflects the synergy between the National Curriculum of Indonesia and the International Framework. In this school, English is used as the medium of instruction in two subjects: Science and Mathematics. The study employs a descriptive qualitative design to describe the process of acquiring English through Mathematics classes. The participants were 16 third graders from the International Class Program (ICP). The results of the analysis showed that the students’ language comprehension was greater than their language production. In conclusion, teaching Mathematics in English facilitates learners’ attempts to learn English.
