KEBUTUHAN BERTINGKAT PASANGAN BEDA STRATA DALAM HELLO KARYA TERE LIYE KAJIAN PSIKOLOGI HUMANISTIK

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Abraham Maslow's multilevel needs theory in the novel Hello by Tere Liye. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using the literature study method. Data analysis is done with a literary psychology approach, which focuses on understanding the psychological aspects of characters. The results showed that there are five graded needs reflected in the development of Hesty and Tigor's characters, which include physiological needs, the need for security, the need for love and belonging, the need for self-esteem, and the need for self-actualization. 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan teori kebutuhan bertingkat Abraham Maslow dalam novel Hello karya Tere Liye. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra, yang berfokus pada pemahaman aspek psikologis karakter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat lima kebutuhan bertingkat yang tercermin dalam perkembangan tokoh Hesty dan Tigor yang meliputi kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan akan rasa aman, kebutuhan akan cinta dan memiliki, kebutuhan akan harga diri, dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri.
