PERJUANGAN PEREMPUAN SECARA KOMPROMI DALAM NOVEL GENDUK DUKU KARYA Y. B. MANGUNWIJAYA

Abstract

This research focuses on women's compromise struggle in the novel Genduk Duku by Y. B. Mangunwijaya. This compromise struggle is usually carried out using political, economic, social and cultural aspects. This form of compromise struggle was analyzed using Dita's theory (2012) and Sara Mills's (1997) critical discourse analysis theory to see the position of women shown in the text. This research is classified as qualitative descriptive research. The results of the research show that there are compromise struggles carried out by women in the novel Genduk Duku. The compromise struggle is presented as the storyteller's subject position, the object position and the reader's position.

Penelitian ini berfokus pada perjuangan perempuan secara kompromi dalam   novel     Genduk                Duku              karya     Y. B. Mangunwijaya.        Perjuangan         secara   kompromi itu biasa dilakukan dengan menggunakan aspek politik, ekonomi, sosial dan budaya. Bentuk perjuangan kompromis itu dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori Dita (2012) dan teori AWK Sara Mills  (1997) untuk mengungkap posisi perempuan yang dimunculkan di dalam wacana. Penelitian ini tergolong ke dalam         penelitian deskriptif      kualitatif.            Hasil      penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perjuangan-perjuangan kompromis yang dilakukan oleh perempuan dalam novel Genduk Duku. Perjuangan kompromis itu ditampilkan sebagai posisi subjek pencerita, posisi objek dan posisi              pembaca.
