KEPRIBADIAN TOKOH KALIS DALAM NOVEL SEBUAH SENI MEMAHAMI KEKASIH KARYA AGUS MULYADI: KAJIAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA SIGMUND FREUD

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the personality of the character Kalis in the novel “Sebuah Seni Mengejar Kekasih” by Agus Mulyadi based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative with reading and note-taking techniques. The analysis shows that the id dominates Kalis' emotional drives, the ego functions as a mediator between desires and social reality, and the superego regulates her moral behavior. The conflict between these three personality structures affects character development and the storyline. This study contributes to the study of literary psychology, especially in analyzing characters in contemporary literary works.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kepribadian tokoh Kalis dalam novel “Sebuah Seni Memahami Kekasih” karya Agus Mulyadi berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik baca dan catat. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa id mendominasi dorongan emosional Kalis, ego berfungsi sebagai mediator antara keinginan dan realitas sosial, serta superego mengatur perilaku moralnya. Konflik antara ketiga struktur kepribadian ini memengaruhi perkembangan karakter dan alur cerita. Penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap kajian psikologi sastra, khususnya dalam menganalisis karakter dalam karya sastra kontemporer.
