ANALISIS SEMANTIK KONTEKSTUAL DALAM NOVEL ‘HARGA SEBUAH PERCAYA’ KARYA TERE LIYE: BERDASARKAN SITUASI TUTUR

Abstract

This study examines the meaning of utterances in the novel Harga Sebuah Percaya by Tere Liye using a contextual semantics approach focused on speech situations. Meaning is shaped not only by words, but also by context such as speaker, listener, time, place, and purpose. Using a qualitative descriptive method and content analysis, the study finds that utterance meanings are influenced by character relationships, emotions, and background events. The study highlights the importance of context in revealing hidden meanings within literary works.

Penelitian ini mengkaji makna ucapan dalam novel Harga Sebuah Percaya karya Tere Liye melalui pendekatan semantik kontekstual dengan fokus pada situasi tutur. Makna tidak hanya berasal dari kata, tetapi juga dari konteks komunikasi seperti pembicara, lawan bicara, waktu, tempat, dan tujuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis konten. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa makna ucapan dipengaruhi oleh relasi tokoh, emosi, dan latar peristiwa. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya konteks dalam mengungkap makna tersembunyi dalam karya sastra.
