<p>This study aimed to identify the most common type of grammatical errors in students’ recount texts and determine the main source. A descriptive qualitative method was applied, with data gathered through written tests from 35 tenth-grade students. <p>This study aims to reveal the prediction patterns of PBSI FKIP Universitas Nias Raya students on short stories through the <em>PRDR </em>Strategy (<em>Prediction-Reading-Discussion-Reflection</em>) Based on Cultural Wisdom in learning critical reading. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results showed that students' prediction patterns when reading stories were organized based on cultural schemata and traditions, conflicts, characters, elements of struggle, and moral messages. <p> </p> <p>This study examines the cultural meanings and symbolic values embedded in the Ceriak Ngelem and Ceriak Nerang rituals as forms of local wisdom in maintaining ecological harmony. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation related to these traditions. The findings show that the Jerieng community preserves environmental balance through cultural prohibitions (pantangan) that regulate interactions between humans and nature. These prohibitions function as mechanisms of social and ecological equilibrium, guiding sustainable practices. The study highlights the relevance of local ecological knowledge as a valuable resource for addressing contemporary environmental challenges. <p>This study explores digital artists’ perceptions of AI in art, using Bourdieu’s theory of modality. Through qualitative interviews with nine artists, findings reveal resistance due to ethical concerns and threats to authenticity, while a minority pragmatically accept AI as a tool, advocating regulation. <p>This study examined the learning styles and media preferences of 34 BIPA student (ages 7–12) from three international schools in Malang. Results indicate a dominant visual learning style, with auditory as secondary and kinesthetic least preferred. Students favor picture- and writing-based vocabulary activities, as well as animated films and picture books. Preferred topics include nature–weather and folklore. These findings underscore the need for multimodal, contextual BIPA instruction that integrates visual and audio elements to enhance motivation and comprehension.</p>Renanda Prameswari, Kusubakti Andajani

<p> <span class="fontstyle0">This study analyzes the role of Peer Team-Based Learning (PTBL) and Project-Based Learning (PJBL) in fostering entrepreneurial skills and creativity through traditional snack innovations inspired by </span><span class="fontstyle2">Serat Centhini </span><span class="fontstyle0">among elementary students. Using action research conducted in two cycles, PTBL was applied in cycle 1 and PJBL in cycle 2 with 30 fifth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, product assessments, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results indicate that PTBL improved collaboration, cultural understanding, and initial entrepreneurial interest, while PJBL further enhanced practical skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial readiness. PJBL proved more effective in increasing students’ confidence and initiative in simple business planning. <p> <span class="fontstyle0">This study explores the educational value of Indonesian folktales by identifying character education values in water-source folktales from Klaten Regency. Using an ethnographic approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations involving village leaders, cultural figures, local residents, and officials, selected through purposive and snowball sampling. Data validity was ensured through method and source triangulation and analyzed using an interactive model. The findings reveal that these folktales contain various character education values, including religiosity, discipline, hard work, independence, democracy, curiosity, patriotism, appreciation of achievement, communicativeness, peace-loving attitudes, environmental and social awareness, creativity, responsibility, and courage. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and sociolinguistic analysis, it explores language variations, their functions, and influencing factors. Findings indicate that slang reflects bilingual identity (English-Indonesian) and is shaped by informal speech settings, age, and speaker intent. <p>This study examines racial injustice and forms of resistance represented in the film <em>American Skin</em> (2021). Using Critical Race Theory, a post-nationalist perspective, and Douglas Kellner’s Popular Culture framework, the research addresses systemic racism within U.S. policing and legal institutions. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, key scenes, dialogues, and narrative strategies are analyzed to reveal representations of institutional racism, legal inequality, racial profiling, and media framing. The findings show that <em>American Skin</em> constructs a counter-narrative of resistance through counter-storytelling that amplifies marginalized Black voices and exposes structural oppression. Analysis of audience responses on Rotten Tomatoes indicates polarized reception, demonstrating how popular culture operates as a contested ideological space. <p>This study examines representations of power and social class in Ken Loach’s film <em>Sorry We Missed You</em> through the discourse of the gig economy. Using Norman Fairclough’s three-dimensional Critical Discourse Analysis combined with Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of symbolic power, this qualitative research analyzes selected film dialogues at the textual, discursive, and social practice levels. The findings reveal that gig workers are depicted as independent and self-employed, yet this apparent autonomy conceals structural dependence, economic precarity, and managerial control. Power relations are reproduced through linguistic choices that normalize gig-economy ideology and shift exploitation into personal responsibility. <p>Formal language varieties often have more rigid and binding rules, so there is a greater chance of errors being found in their use. The purpose of this study is to analyze language errors made by students seen from the linguistic level, which includes: phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and discourse. This study uses the content analysis method to analyze language errors found in research data in the form of language utterances. This study uses the Borg and Gall model adaptation research and development (R&D) method with seven steps to determine the validity of the resulting product. <p>This study aims to examine the spiritual relationship between humans and nature in Mappangiso healing practices in Soppeng Regency. The subjects of the study were Bugis sanro who were involved in healing rituals. With a qualitative approach and Starhawk's spiritual ecology theory, it was found that Mappangiso integrates natural elements and mantras as healing media.
